At first, I thought this was gonna be another pathetic atmept at a Mario Game...but I was dead wrong. Maybe that "Game Boy Color Only"should have tipped me off.
Now as some of you may know, I am usually a anti-sports-videogame type of person. I was really surprised that I actually was addicted to Mario Golf.
The Graphics are just simply stunning, surprising, colorful, and stunning. While I was playing it at school, one guy came up to watch, and he said, "Whoa! Actual FULL color!" He was certainly amazed by it as well.
This is not your average sports game. What makes it so exciting is the RPG elements. If you are stuck on a course, you can go around and do some "help sessions" to get Stars and even improve. There are putting greens and places to practice that can make you improve your scores on holes.
The Gameplay is just simply great. It takes a while to get used to it (for me at least), but once you have gotten a hang of it, you will just love it. At the start, you can even pick your Gender and what type of person you want to be. You can even play as Mario or Luigi. Mario Golf is just simply plain cool.
And for those perplexed by Golf terms...there are even Dictionaries in the game to help you out! Just simply amazing. Not your average sports game.
-Pick your own Golfer, Gender choice.
-Practice courses, and exercises to improve your golf score.
-Save Game Feature...auto-save.
-FULL Color, Superb Graphics.
-For Game Boy Color ONLY, sorry Classic and Pocket People.
-Gets really hard...you need some skill or you would
-need to play it 24/7 to get through.
