Mario Kart Gets the Checkered Flag

Gee, how many times have you seen that phrase before? But anyway, Mario Kart: Super Circuit for the Game Boy Advance has won the wins the "Favorite Video Game" at Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards 2002. The extremely popular KCA is an annual show celebrating the best in music, film and television ... voted entirely by KIDS.

This show included stars like ooooooh... Mandy Moore, Usher, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Pink, Apolo Anton Ohno, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and Jessica Alba.

GameCube Price Cut in Europe

Nintendo has officially announced the price cut of the Nintendo GameCube in Europe. The system launching May 3rd in Europe, will come at a cost of 199 euros (about US$179).

There are already 30,000 preorders for the system in the United Kingdom alone, so it must be already doing quite well in Europe. That's out of a total of 500,000 units coming out at launch.

Yoshi is in Super Mario Sunshine!

IGN Cube has posted a few screenshots that have Yoshi in the game, Super Mario Sunshine, this looks quite interesting indeed. Perhaps Yoshi is having a big role in this game? Who knows.


The Truth Behind Super Mario World X

And it's not the information that you are looking for, but IGN has reported that the Super Mario X page didn't really mean anything.

Here is the quote:

"Final Fantasy and Mario X are not confirmed titles," a company representative said. "[Nintendo's official site] was doing some site testing and created some fictional test pages."

But as always, we can wait and wait, and wait more for the upcoming E3.

Super Mario World X?

PlanetGameCube has found something interesting on Nintendo's Official Website, they have information on something called "Super Mario World X". It is supposed to be a GameCube game. There were no other details available... but here is the link:

Quite strange indeed.

Super Mario Advance 3...Coming Soon

Nintendo will be announcing at E3 that they will be bringing out 3 Game Boy Advance games by the end of this year. One of these will be Super Mario Advance 3, it's not known which Mario port this will be, or perhaps it could be a new game, but this game will supposedly launch with Super Mario Sunshine.
