Mario Party 4 Information

The next installment in the wildly popular Mario PartyŽ franchise will be released for NINTENDO GAMECUBE before the end of this year in Japan. Previous Mario Party titles topped best-seller lists in 2000 and 2001.

Super Mario Sunshine gets Japanese Release Date

Super Mario Sunshine will be released on July 19, 2002 in Japan and nearby Asian countries. This date is about 1 month before the release in North America... Also the game will cost 6800 yen (about $55 US).


Super Mario Sunshine US Release Date!

Nintendo has announced the release date for Super Mario Sunshine for the Nintendo GameCube. It seems like the game has been renamed, since "Super" has been added in front of "Mario Sunshine", forming "Super Mario Sunshine".

The long-awaited next installment of the Super Mario series will be coming out on August 26, 2002, near the end of the summer.

Also on GCN hardware news, the Memory Card 251 ($20 US) and the wireless Wave Bird controller ($40 US) will be coming out on June 24, 2002. It seems as though Nintendo is finally responding to demands for a larger memory card.

Mario Golf and Mario Tennis (GCN) Screenshots!

Nintendo has just released some high-quality screenshots of Mario Golf and Mario Tennis for the GameCube. Compared to Mario Sunshine, this game has much better graphics at the moment.

Mario's Sunny Plot

Nintendojo has posted a storyline of Mario Sunshine from Famitsu, a very respectable Japanese magazine.

"Princess Peach was vacationing on Dolpic [Dolphin?] Island when many large scribbles appeared [on the island]. Mario vows to bring those responsible for this crime to justice and clean up the island in the process. Until then, Princess Peach can't finish her vacation! Mario must track down the culprit making use of his new waterpump backpack."


Mario Golf and Mario Tennis Comin' To GCN

Camelot is supposedly in development on Mario Golf and Mario Tennis for the GameCube. If you don't know, Camelot is the same company that created the Mario Golf and Mario Tennis games on the Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Color, and they had linking features between them, as in N64-GBC connection. This is an excellent chance for them to make use of the more powerful GCN-GBA link.


Luigi's Upgraded Mansion?

In an interview with Gamespot, Shigeru Miyamoto had a little to say on the launch of Luigi's Mansion in Europe.

Here it is quoted:

"Though, in the case of Luigi's Mansion, for the European launch, we've added some new elements to the hidden mansion that become accessible after you clear the game and strengthened that mode so that people will probably be interested in playing it a little longer than they did the US version."


Mario Sunshine Playable at E3

IGNCube has reported that Mario Sunshine will be one of a few games that will be playable at the upcoming E3. It is possible that the new Mario Kart game will appear as a playable demo as well.
