More Mario Sunshine Screens!

More Mario Sunshine screenshots have been released by Nintendo! Here are two screenshots that show some of the graphical capability of the game, and it seems obvious that this game is going to be a Super Mario 64 type of game.

In an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto, he has mentioned there are going to be drastic changes in the new Mario Kart game for the GCN.

"The situation is that we are having a series of meetings about Mario Kart for GameCube and we have come to the point where we will be making some drastic changes to the last games. Sonic the Hedgehog might be one of the drivers!"

Yet another Mario Sunshine screenshot has been revealed on the net, and this one shows Mario and some sort of level boss. This boss looks quite interesting, it seem as though it's some sort of sea creature...

PlanetGameCube has posted some new Mario Sunshine screenshots on their site, these new screens of the game are of much higher quality than before.

Mario Sunshine should be coming out in Q3 2002 in North America and Japan.

Nintendo makes donation to PAWS/LA in celebration of the first annual "Companion Animal Appreciation Day" and the release of its new game Super Mario World®: Super Mario Advance 2 for Game Boy® Advance. Heather Tom of "The Young and the Restless" and Pamela Magette of PAWS/LA accepts check from Mario and his favorite pet, Yoshi, along with Beth Llewelyn, Director, Public Relations, Nintendo of America.

Namco/Sega/Nintendo To Create Next-Generation Arcade Game System

Namco Limited, Sega Corporation and Nintendo Co., Ltd. today announced they have joined forces to develop a 3D computer graphics board for next-generation arcade game system applying the architecture of Nintendo's all-new home video game console, Nintendo GameCube(TM).

Dubbed "TRIFORCE," the system board of Next Generation Arcade Game is designed to improve graphics performance and enhance overall arcade game play. Through their alliance, Namco and Sega will seek to expand the arcade game market, create a cost-effective environment for arcade game developers and establish a wholly new fun-game system to bridge the home and game arcade entertainment experience. A prototype will be shown at the AOU 2002 Amusement Expo in Makuhari, Japan on February 22nd.

Super Mario World: SMA2 in stores today!

The re-release of Super Mario World for the Game Boy Advance should be coming today (in US and Canada), or sometime within the next few days. Titled, Super Mario World: Super Mario Advance 2, this game features the original SMW from the Super NES, and also the exact same Mario Bros. arcade game that can be found in the first Super Mario Advance.
