Spiffy GBA color names & Mario Advance Link Up
Posted on February 24, 2001 @ 6:54 PM EST by: Tiger
The Japanese are going to get the same colors as us, but they are renamed from the white, purple, and clear purple. They are now known as "Arctic," "Indigo," and "Glacier."

For Mario Advance Link Up play, only 1 Mario Advance cart is needed! But you need the extra GBAs and link cables. You compete to grab more coins than your partner. Each character has special abilities, like Mario being good over all, and Luigi being able to jump high, etc.

Game Boy Advance Release Date Announced!
Posted on February 12, 2001 @ 10:45 PM EST by: Hairball
The release date of the Game Boy Advance has changed. But it's actually been moved up, that means an earlier release date, than announced earlier!

At Space World last year, Nintendo said that the GBA will launch in July 2001 in North America, but the official date broke the ice, with the preceding International Toy Fair in New York coming soon.

The Game Boy Advance and perhaps several launch games will be released in North America on June 11, 2001!

This is great news for all us gamers, and be sure to stay in touch with us, as up to two of our staff members will be at E3 2001, which is coming up in May!

More Mario Partying
Posted on February 12, 2001 @ 10:27 PM EST by: Hairball
Nintendo of America has updated the Mario Party 3 game page, with even more screenshots of the third incarnation of this somewhat great Mario Party series. Besides the screenshots, there's some new game info, that we may or may not already know.

Some new additions are new characters, like Waluigi and Daisy, from Mario Tennis. New mini-games, new game boards, a lot more surprises, hey, who doesn't like surprises?

Will this game be an bigger improvement? We'll have to see on May 7, 2001, when Mario Party 3 is in stores in North America, or unless you live in Japan, you may already know the answer...

Lots of Gameboy Advance and Mario Advance News!

If you don't have enough of Mario Advance, then here are some links to check out. Gaming Age has lots of screenshots (36 in fact) and Nintendo's Gameboy website has some new screenshots as well.
Now for some Gameboy Advance news. IGN Pocket gives us a good look at the GBC-GBA comparison as well how a GBA will look like with a GBC cart stuck on. Since the GBA carts are really small, the GB(C) carts stick out, which could be kind of annoying. A flaw in the design probably.
